Bill Paxton has passed away at 61 years old, following complications in surgery. He leaves behind a wife and two children.
While many of us were introduced to Bill Paxton as the buffoon brother Chet in Weird Science, the versatile actor went on to star in some of the biggest movies of all time including Apollo 13 and Titanic. Most recently, Paxton was seen on Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and he has an upcoming role in the Emma Watson and Tom Hanks Silicon Valley thriller, The Circle.
But for those who love the Sechrest Things, Paxton will forever be remembered as one of only two actors to have been killed onscreen by an Alien, a Predator, and a Terminator, an honor he shares with Lance Henriksen.
It might be Oscar Sunday, but for me… a Bill Paxton marathon is definitely in order.
